« America brought us the baseball cap; it’s one of my favorite caps” Philip Treacy
Nowadays sport is such a global phenomenon that it is hard to not want to pick up some sports apparels and make them part of your everyday look. Through the means of TV and internet one can even access the behind the scenes of one’s favorite teams. That’s why this post is all about how this writer – me – can wear an MLB (Major League Baseball) hat.
The great thing with the MLB hat is very versatile: it goes with street style, chic, beach, let’s not forget the bad hair days when it is a life saver, and of course you wear it on at the games to show your support to your teams. On that note, an online company that sells sports apparels was where I got my star accessory inspiration. Guess what their called? Fanatics! Who can forget that? It’s clever right? Their range of Baseball hats are so well designed that it was hard for me to choose only one hat to feature in this post. The cut and the colors of the Detroit hat did it for me; they are just the kind I can see myself wearing – although I support two baseball teams in the U.S. and Detroit isn’t one of them (sorry Detroit fans, no offence meant). The sight of it gives it a leather feel yet it is not made of leather – leather for me shouts luxury; not always affordable but still luxury – maybe it is the reason why I unconsciously like the hat. I really dunno if everyone will have the same feeling. The hat is light enough to wear with the amazing prints of the pants I chose for this post yet the colors are chic to match it with a pair of heeled boots or pumps. That’s why I decided to mix it with Ankara pants – I’m crazy about the prints – for an “Africa meets American Baseball” theme.
Growing up in DRC, these hats were one of the fashion must-haves in my school’s entourage; that’s how I ended up liking them for life. I liked the hats so much that I wanted to mix and match another look with this time a hat of one of my teams – seriously couldn’t resist it and then again it wouldn’t have been proper nor fair to at least New York fans if I didn’t show their hat too (in reality, I just enjoyed myself with the first look that I had to try a second one for me to feel like the fashion editor of a big magazine. I’m smiling right now, smile with me…please smile).
Now all you have to do to acquire these MLB hats is to just click on this link www.fanatics.com/Hats (click the link, they have every sports apparel that exists in the market. C’mon, you know you’re dying of curiosity to have at least a peek of their products. How will you know if you don’t judge by yourself? And while you’re at it, also browse over their Soccer page. For all the football – yes, we call it football in this part of the world, we still can’t transition to soccer lol – fans like myself, I promise you that you’ll feast your eyes), place your order et voila the staff of the company who is dedicated to customer satisfaction – according to their hands-on approach on twitter – will make sure you receive your package in a good condition and on time. Everything sport, they have it.
These were my take on how I’ll wear my Baseball hat (from fanatics.com). Look no 1 is chic, feminine and the jacket is of course in case I’ve to brace a chilly weather whereas look no 2 is a more relaxed one; it’s either the pants along with the shirt or the dress. It doesn’t have to be the exactly the same outfits and/or accessories, anything similar will do. Let me know how YOU’LL wear your Baseball hat – for any occasion not just the games – because fashion is after all about what makes YOU feel comfortable.
Thanks Kris for reminding me that fashion can be “revisited” in so many ways.
Until next time, may my Jesus bless y’all.

As for the outfits, as I said they don’t have to be of the exact brands just find similar ones and you’re good to go. Remember, one doesn’t need to break the bank to look fab.
